ART CLUB

I teach from my experience as a professional artist with 25 years painting neat minimalist shorelines around the Isle of Wight and South West coast but my workshops offer a different experimental experience.

My studio is now open for small, relaxed art classes. These sessions are informal, friendly and supportive — ideal if you’re looking to build confidence or just enjoy a few creative hours in good company. With groups of only five people, there’s plenty of time to work at your own pace.

Each month we will explore...

Pen & Watercolour Coastal Landscapes
We’ll combine simple pen work with watercolour washes to create loose and detailed seaside scenes inspired by our local coastline. You’ll learn easy techniques to give ou the confidence to go out and about with your own little sketch book.

Abstract Painting Using the Three Primary Colours
A fun and freeing way to explore colour mixing and mark making. By limiting ourselves to just the three primary colours, you’ll discover how much variety and harmony you can create.

Loose Florals
Gentle, expressive sessions focusing on colour, movement and developing your own style — without worrying about perfection.

These classes are about enjoying the process rather than striving for perfection. Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning to painting after a break, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a small, encouraging creative space.

Wednesday is workshop day in the Stripy Art Studio.
If you have a group of friends and would like to book in at a different time. Please get in touch.
Larger groups can be arranged at a different location.

Each week will take home a work of art for your wall or cards to send to your friends. All created by you with just a bit of guidance from me.
All materials provided plus tea, coffee and biscuits.

£28 per session. Or book all 4 sessions in March for £100.

Please note- due to limited space and cost of materials, no refunds can be given.
If I can fill your space from the waiting list, you may carry it over to another session.

TESTIMONIALS

This was a fantastic workshop. Thankyou so much. A fun creative 2 hours. Second workshop I have done now and I find them so relaxing and fun.

Absolute highlight of my week. Great tuition in a small group in a beautiful location. We all left proudly with three pieces of artwork!
Mrs D, Ryde.

I can really recommend this workshop. Sue provided all the materials (along with drinks and biscuits) and guided us through every step.
It was a lovely way to spend a morning and I left having learnt new skills and with a framed piece of my very own art.
Mrs S, Seaview.
